The reality is that for organizations to survive and thrive in the future, we are going to need to develop new ways of working. We are going to need to develop new management practices. We are going to need to develop new ways of connecting people at the individual level to the overall organizational objective.
We are going to need to embrace risk in a completely different way than before. OKRs facilitate that process. We can see everything about the workplace is moving that way, whether that be hybrid working or open-plan offices, we get a sense that organizations are more and more putting a significant emphasis on collaboration and connecting the people within the organization.
Organizations have learned that we get the most out of individuals when we connect them as a team. Individuals working as a team have a positive impact on the company’s bottom line. And by working in a team, we create an atmosphere for staff that counteracts stress and improves staff retention and commitment to their individual roles and the organizational parts.
